For application to the workshop:  Please
submit a completed application form with a letter of recommendation from your private teacher or school music director and a $100 non-refundable deposit made payable to:
Stetson University Double Reed Workshop.
The balance of the tuition is due at registration.
 
Tuition for the workshop is $450, including room and board. Students living in the area may commute and pay a reduced fee of $350 which includes tuition, lunches and dinners. Reed making kits must be purchased separately.
 
Participants will be housed in the Stetson University residence halls, eat in the student cafeteria and have access to all campus recreational facilities. Counselors will stay in the dorms with the participants. The students are supervised at all times.

Ann Adams
PROFESSOR OF OBOE
 
Ann Adams has been the professor  of oboe and music education at Stetson University since 1989.  She received the Doctor of Music, the Master of Music and the Master of Music Education degrees from Florida State University, and the Bachelor of Music degree from Western Michigan University. Adams is an active recitalist and clinician and has appeared as a soloist with the Stetson University Wind Ensemble, the Bach Festival Orchestra of Winter Park, the Florida State University Wind Orchestra, and the Bach Festival Society of Kalamazoo.  Adams is a founding member of the faculty woodwind trio Tres Vientos and Trio Della Canno and the faculty woodwind quintet Veritate Winds. She is a member of the International Double
Reed Society, the College Music Society, the Music Educator’s National Conference, the Florida Music Educator’s Association, and the Florida Bandmaster’s Association.
 
 
 
Ashley Heintzen
PROFESSOR OF BASSOON
 
Ashley Heintzen, bassoon, received her High School diploma from the North Carolina School of Arts, Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, Master of Music degree from Baylor University, and the Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University. Dr. Heintzen is the principal bassoonist with the Bach Festival Orchestra of Winter Park and second bassoon with the Brevard Symphony. In addition, she plays with the Orlando Philharmonic, Jacksonville Symphony and Florida West Coast Symphony. She is a member of Veritate Winds and has been the bassoon instructor at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida since 1994.
